Part 2: What I Assumed
I assume that the staffing of nurses is such a huge problem because hospitals want to spend their money paying highly educated doctors and not nurses. I assume that they feel that nurses are less important than other expenses, like equipment. I also believe that having a lower number of nurses would be detrimental to the patients of the hospital, because from my experience in my internship, a lower amount of nurses directly correlates to a lower amount of attentiveness to each individual patient. I also assumed that having a lower number of nurses increases the stress level of the nurses because they have to deal with more patients in a shorter amount of time.
