Part 4: What I Learned
Through my research I answered my essential question, it is true that understaffing nurses in hospitals is detrimental to both patients and nurses. When a hospital does not have enough nurses on staff to meet the demand of patients, lives are at stake. More deaths and mistakes occur with less nurses, because they are not able to reach their full capability when faced with more tasks than they are able to handle. also, with less nurses nurses are unhappy in their jobs because they are more stressed and have too many responsibilities. Therefore, I conclude that all states should have the current nurse to patient ratio laws as California.
